Jesus cita Êxodo 20:12 (honrar pais) e Êxodo 21:17 (pena de morte por amaldiçoar os pais). Os fariseus usavam o 'Corban' (oferta dedicada a Deus) como desculpa para evitar sustento aos pais idosos, invalidando o mandamento.
But in vain they do worship me, teaching for doctrines the commandments of men.
