Isaías 42

Behold my servant, whom I uphold; mine elect, in whom my soul delighteth; I have put my spirit upon him: he shall bring forth judgment to the Gentiles.
Este verso é visto como profecia messiânica. O 'servo' é interpretado no Novo Testamento como referência a Jesus (ver mt12:18-21). A justiça para os gentios reforça a universalidade da missão cristã.
