He hath made every thing beautiful in his time: also he hath set the world in their heart, so that no man can find out the work that God maketh from the beginning to the end.

Isso reflete a tensão entre a limitação humana e o desejo de compreender o divino (ver ec8:17, rm11:33). Arqueólogos notam que essa angústia existencial é comum em textos sapienciais antigos.
